Saints urged to pursue freely scoring star with uncertain Premier League future

Southampton have been hinted to take advantage of Leeds United's soon-to-be fringe star Joel Piroe by acquiring his services for the following campaign at the bare minimum.

Days ago, Southampton were advised to fancy their chances of adding more Premier League calibre in their ranks with a proposed Largie Ramazani capture. Still, the fans can't help but shrug their shoulders down knowing that the top-flight appeal is rarely traded for the exhausting Championship nature.

Better said, either a free agent or a sudden disagreement between a club and their player might be Southampton's only go-to choices which aren't even in their hands in the first place.

Yet, transfer miracles do happen frequently and one of Ramazani's teammates can be the perfect example. That's because the Football Insider believes that Leeds United attacker Joel Piroe is on track to receive a fringe role for at least the upcoming twelve months.

Piroe resembles Southampton's unimpressive Premier League status

Let's be honest, no Southampton fan saw these events coming for one of the Championship's freely scoring strikers. It could be due to the fears of him mirroring a one-division wonder trait as Adam Armstrong possesses but that could still turn useful for Southampton.

The reason being that the EFL Analysis have recommended the Saints to inquire Leeds about any possibility of acquiring Piroe.

But why would Piroe even weigh up a St. Mary's arrival? Well, partially due to his Leeds fears which are snowballing swiftly with the addition of multiple forwards there.

On top of that, he is someone who thrived under Russell Martin earlier, so, he will naturally enjoy the fan's trust from day one itself. Lastly, the 25-year-old finished second-best in front of the Saints at Wembley, thus, he won't underappreciate Southampton's ambitions in the near future.

And as is the norm about two out of favour parties doing well upon their reunion, it's fair to expect that Piroe and Southampton will be enthusiastic in chasing a shared Premier League dream.
