Kyle Walker-Peters recent actions throw Tottenham Hotspurs return in jeopardy

Former Southampton defender Kyle Walker-Peters is dropping hints about his next club which might not sit well with Tottenham Hotspurs fans.

Five years ago, Southampton fans welcomed Theo Walcott with open arms and a while back, the club let Adam Lallana's second dance end in a dull manner. Still, both have done enough at St. Mary's to fetch their legendary tag but there's another cherished figure who marked an era at St. Mary's between the arrival and departures of the above duo.

Without a doubt, it's Kyle Walker-Peters whose half a decade Southampton stay often goes underappreciated just because he sought to depart silently without bringing in a significant paycheck for the current board.

Anyways, the 28-year-old has the rumoured backing of his former employers, so, he shouldn't be regretting turning down Southampton, isn't it? It can be either way but his current actions might start turning his previous Tottenham fans away from him.

Walker-Peters might head to Tottenham Hotspurs' city rivals

As pointed out by Daily Echo journalist Alfie House, Walker-Peters is currently enjoying his vacations alongside Fulham duo Alex Iwobi and Emile Smith-Rowe. Well, many players keep dropping their new transfer hints throughout the off-season so, this shouldn't concern Spurs much.

Even if Walker-Peters is teasing a Fulham move, they aren't Tottenham's derby rivals and that's not the most tongue-in-cheek gesture. Instead, it's the fact that both Iwobi and Smith-Rowe have been ex-Arsenal stars who are Tottenham's London neighbours.

Plus, fierce competitors on the pitch, too and Walker-Peters accompanying them in the picture can spark hints about his Arsenal transfer desires. And goes without saying but had he come through the ranks at Chelsea, Walker-Peters linking up with Mikel Arteta's Gunners would hardly come as surprising.

After all, Arsenal remain on good negotiation terms with the Blues, unlike the recently crowned Europa League holders. Will the versatile full-back give a definite thought about crossing the London divide, remains to be seen later.
