One-capped international enjoys Russell Martin joke after slamming Saints before

Chris Sutton has shifted his criticising glance towards former Southampton coach Russell Martin who can't seem to navigate past draws and Sutton's jokes.

It was always a given that Will Still will get the points on the board quicker than Russell Martin did last summer, but the statement is getting more weight at present. The reason being that Southampton's current head needed only one fine evening to better Martin's two frustrating league nights in Scotland.

Now, mockings have followed Southampton wherever they have went in the recent past and someone faring measly than the Saints will too. So, Martin and co are stranded in the criticism territory with none enjoying this situation more than once-capped English international Chris Sutton.

In thrashing losses, it's common to downplay a team's quality but Sutton nitpicks draws too. Months ago, he didn't liked Southampton's roster demonstrating their smiling faces after playing a set of goalless halves.

Currently, he is busy making a streak of seven word taunts to everyone at Rangers including Martin. In his own words, Sutton said: "Good point for Rangers in the end."

Martin must not let a hat-trick of these seven word jokes

Undoubtedly, the home side fought tooth and nail for a late equaliser but let's be honest, Martin is losing out on these points against Scottish teams that will likely sit mid-table by next year. This gives pleasure to Sutton because of his Celtic roots, and Saints might again come at the former attacker's criticising radar, due to his Norwich connection.

If Still can't get two sizeable wins there above two goal margins each, then Sutton might be back on with a lengthy and scathing take on Southampton's front-line.

And remaining in the division with the Canaries for significant years, that's an idea Saints fans mustn't explore even if they feel the desire to see Sutton's praises because that won't come easily for the men donning red and white kits.
