Therefore, both sides are looking forward to this match and will want to take the three points which will be important as the two teams want to avoid relegation this season. Last season, Kieran McKenna's side completed the league double over Southampton taking a 1-0 win which was followed by a thrilling 3-2 win as Jeremy Sarmiento scored the winning goal for Ipswich Town in the last minute of the match. Hence, Southampton will want to take an important win this time to continue their good momentum going into the upcoming matches against Bournemouth and last season's Championship winners Leicester City in the Premier League.
Among lineup changes, defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis is expected to come into the starting lineup after his impressive goal and brilliant display against Everton. Further, it remains to be seen whether the Saints will take their first win of the league against Ipswich Town in this home fixture.
