Southampton have taken inspiration from Crystal Palace by arriving for Finn Azaz, who was touted as a valid alternative for one of the latter's departing stars not long ago.

Recently, Southampton fans got the word about a desperate attempt for an Oliver Glasner-coached talent. The Crystal Palace gaffer is the most exciting first division manager in town, due to silverware reasons.

And everything he did previously will now be studied and analysed intently by clubs of all ranks in England and abroad. There is no massive evidence than Arsenal, who handpicked arguably the best performer lying in Glasner's contacts.

In the words of Fabrizio Romano: "Eberechi Eze to Arsenal, here we go! Verbal agreement in place between all parties. Crystal Palace to receive package in excess of £60m as Eze preferred AFC over Spurs."

Crystal Palace's window planning can assist Southampton

So, how can Southampton benefit from here onwards? Well, they also have the common knowledge about a playmaker opening at Palace and the Saints can't be called wrong to inspect a list of ideas the former had in mind to sharpen the same area.

As relayed in a GiveMeSport report, Middlesbrough's emerging midfielder Finn Azaz was in contention to take over Eze's role but that was around two months ago.

At present, Southampton fans can conclude Palace might have forgotten about Azaz. If it's for certain, then the St. Mary's faithful must say well done to the board for taking a transfer march on Azaz, going by the Daily Mail.

Here, a comical thought may develop about providing Charlie Taylor to Middlesbrough and then gaining a better deal for the Irishman. Staying real, that won't suffice for Azaz's team, and Southampton will have to talk in decent fractions of Eze's transfer amount, else how can we expect to attract a player likened to him.
