Will Still drops heavy praise on Ryan Fraser as the winger's Ipswich show claps back on ex-boss Ivan Juric, who had completely axed him from his Southampton plans.

With the Premier League action recently resuming, the Saints have all their anticipations centred on Serie A to follow suit in the season kickoff. But while there's still time to see their former duo fare out at Atalanta, the Saints fans realise of ex-gaffer Juric, who hasn't changed a bit since then.

Like it or not, Juric's token inclusion practice remained an overlooked hazard during his Southampton spell. That shortcoming still prevails, as the manager was seen subbing in his ambitious signing, Sulemana, in the friendly loss to Juventus.

Still, to say, the 23-year-old remained a spared target of Juric's routine, which influenced other Saints much more severely. And who better to relate to this than Ryan Fraser, the winger who has transformed into a whole different player this season.

Still's praise of Fraser avenges last season's disrespect from Ivan Juric

If you remember, the Croatian boss had bluntly cut off an available Fraser from his plans using only two words. Fast forward to now, the 32-year-old has emerged as an integral part of the Saints setup again, with Will Still at the helm.

Now, regularly starting games for Southampton, Fraser has upgraded his game to that of a pressing machine, helping both the offensive and defensive extremes. To top it off, the once-forgotten Saint teed Robinson for the equaliser against Ipswich, writing a perfect comeback story that's just getting started.

Deservedly, Will Still poured in huge praises on Fraser post-game for his decisive matchday performance. As quoted by the Daily Echo, Still said: “Wee Man’s been great. I think he’s played in pretty much every position he could in the past three games. He’s just professional, he gets on with the job. He’s always got the same energy and attitude, credit to him.”

Being held high by the boss for his versatility and energy levels, despite being one of the aged Saints, says a lot about Fraser's fighting spirit. Touchwood, but with his recent displays, he feels very much on route to repeat his 2023/24 heroic Championship season that led the Saints to a promotion.

Well, the season's just begun, but let's hope our 'Wee Man' continues on his super run.
