The transfer window is now officially open for all EFL clubs.
Southampton didn't wait for the start of the window to commence their transfer activity; however, with Cyle Larin, Daniel Peretz, and George Long all confirmed as permanent signings, long before the 15th of June saw the window actually swing open.
The promotion-chasing Saints won't be done here, you imagine, when it comes to incoming bodies, as Dragan Solak continues to splash the cash to ensure Southampton have a great chance at finally securing Premier League football.
They will have to stomach some sales, too, as every passing day sees another rumour pop up involving one of their first-team mainstays leaving.
The Southampton players who could leave
The central midfield positions look the most likely to take the hardest hit this summer.
Indeed, both Caspar Jander and Shea Charles will be hot commodities, after classy performances galore in the Championship last season, with the aforementioned Solak labelling Jander's debut season in England as "incredible."
Charles impressing on the international stage for Northern Ireland in recent times have only boosted his chances of a Premier League switch, too, with Leeds United reported as the latest top-flight onlooker taken aback by the quality of the one-time Manchester City youngster.
His German counterpart has more interest in his services from further afield, with Stuttgart previously named as one Bundesliga club taking a fancy to the ex-Nurnberg battler.
Taylor Harwood-Bellis has further been eyed up by Premier League newbies Coventry City and Hull City, so while the optimism levels are through the roof at the moment with incomings, the reality that could soon greet the Saints is that several first-teamers might decide to desert St. Mary's regardless.
Of all the standout Saints performers from last season who are on Premier League shopping lists, Solak has singled out Leo Scienza as the player he believes is top-flight capable, when speaking to the Daily Echo.
The Saints star who is Premier League ready
The outspoken Serbian has recently opened up to the Daily Echo about all the inner workings that go into Southampton's transfer business.
With Johannes Spors steering the transfer ship as the club's transfer business techincal director, it is a relationship that has worked well for the most part, since the German's arrival in 2025.
He is certainly in the good books for unearthing Scienza from Heidenheim, with the Saints thanking their lucky stars that they opted to go after the Brazilian for around the £8m mark, as he's considered a £25m-worthy attacker right now.
That's for good reason, too, as he bagged seven goals and collected nine assists under Eckert last season in Championship action as promotion cruelly didn't come.
Solak spoke on striking gold with Scienza when discussing the Saints' transfer activity under Spor, with the Serbian stating that he is probably a "Premier League player", only a year on from being plucked from obscurity at Heidenheim.
He looks the most likely big-money sale, therefore, which will hurt as it felt like he was only getting started last campaign.
But, the Premier League looks as if it beckons next for Scienza, with the slick number 13 catching the eye of Everton, among other top-flight suitors, with interest from his native Brazil also emerging.
