Jan Bednarek leaves motivating claim Southampton desperately need

Former star Jan Bednarek has spoken some motivating words that can inspire Southampton's defensive department to ensure the attacker's hard work holds good meaning at the end of the day.

Southampton keep stooping to new second-tier lows every week and currently, the Saints have less than half of the points Coventry City have banked being first. It's a heavy blow to Southampton's Championship topping ambitions, with the wait for another league title of any kind bound to stretch further.

Meanwhile, former main act Jan Bednarek's title grind has taken off well at Porto. As October makes way for the upcoming November, the Saints fan favourite is asserting authority at the exact opposite end of the table, he was much accustomed to in his final Southampton years.

Should Saints wish good luck to the 29-year-old? Yes, as Bednarek is not a stranger even though he would barely need a fraction of those wishes to check mark his successful campaign, than what Southampton need for their cause.

In all eleven matches, the Saints have to go through an umbrella of chaos before finding the back of the net. More or less, it's doable but somebody needs to talk this backline unit to stop wrapping goals as matchday presents.

Harwood-Bellis and Stephens must learn from Jan Bednarek's comments

Bednarek's words can do the trick, and as quoted by Sport Witness(via UEFA's official magazine): "When the team is struggling and needs more control, I feel I can help the younger players. They need someone to guide, support and inspire them, and I try to bring that mentality on the pitch."

Only Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Jack Stephens can be deemed senior defensive guards in the building. Among them, atleast Harwood-Bellis can act as a cool-headed backline chief when the going gets tough to handle.

Coincidentally, the next fixture is also against one of his older employers Blackburn Rovers, where he should definitely promise to lead Saints to a clean sheet.
