Che Adams checking out of St. Mary's had no transfer fees in store for Southampton, but now, a huge claim had been made on what stunning amount was there.

In two days, West Ham will square off against Sunderland which is the Premier League equivalent of Southampton getting paired with Wrexham in the second-division. For the bulk of English football fans, it's another occasion to hop in expecting an upset because many outspoken pundits always look for that and Wrexham couldn't satiate that craving.

Let's not count Saints fans into that group because keeping an eye on Kyle Walker-Peters will hold more significance for us. The St. Mary's faithful will want to figure how much transfer value got belittled for nothing, as losses were definitely there.

While we wait to know, a stunning valuation reveal has been brought to notice about another free agent Che Adams. Two weeks ago, he was on the losing end while taking on two former Southampton stars but his market allure keeps winning.

Che Adams is still rated above £10m after Southampton farewell

According to a Football League World report, the 29-year-old had been proposed a Championship move to Birmingham City but an over £10m hurdle was too much to jump.

That equates to recouping more or less the whole upfront capital Southampton paid for Adams. Well, the Scot shined across more evenings than not as a Saint, so, a selling compensation will have made the entire transfer operation brilliant on every aspect.

But being real, Walker-Peters and Adams' Southampton goodbyes totalled a deficit in the region of £20m. If they get transferred for some lucrative fees, then it will be salt rubbed on an already wounded financial books.

As for motivation, the Saints transfer-say holders must hear revelations like this to try harder and prevent a third blockbuster exit for nothing next year.
