Cyle Larin is etching himself into the history books right now, with seven goals from seven Championship contests this season, with Southampton not having such a deadly lower league sharpshooter on their books since the crazy goal-filled days of Rickie Lambert.

If Larin keeps his stunning numbers up, he could be remembered in the same glowing light as the revered Lambert for being another goalscoring hero who sealed a triumphant promotion.
The now retired marksman would bag a wild 38 league goals across two seasons to take the Saints from the doldrums of League One to the Premier League, with Larin aiming to hit that same target of goals during his second season on the South Coast, to take Tonda Eckert and Co. back to the big time.
At the rate he's going, hitting 30 goals in a season isn't a completely ludcirous shout, as he has a goal every 73 minutes so far this campaign in the intense Championship.
Even the likes of Jarrod Bowen are falling behind the Brampton Bagsman in the race to be near the top of the goalscoring charts, as West Ham United sit at the top of the tree on 20 overall goals, with the blistering 31-year-old very much in league of his own at the moment.
Bowen is arguably the finest player in the Championship on his day, with a ridiculous 65 Premier League goals next to his name meaning he is arguably far too good for this lowly league. He has seven goal contributions so far this campaign for Nuno Espirito Santo's giants, too.
Still, he is lagging behind Larin when it comes to their respective goals per minute ratios, with the ex-Besiktas striker even ahead of these two elite superstars in that regard, as well.

Amazingly, Larin - at the time of writing - boasts a better goal scoring rate than both Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland, who play for Manchester City and Real Madrid, who are two heavyweights in their separate leagues.
Indeed, both clubs are serial winners with the cream of the crop leading the line for them, with Mbappe a World Cup winner, who has six goals next to his name, as well, in La Liga action this season.
Haaland is a well-known brute in front of goal, too, with two Premier League titles under his belt, as he has four strikes to shout about from four top-flight encounters this campaign.
Mbappe's red-hot goalscoring rate at the moment sticks out as a goal every 75 minutes, while his Nordic counterpart grabs a strike every 90 minutes.
Larin just pips his opposite French number astonishingly, as he has a Championship goal coming his way every 73 minutes.
Several eyebrows were raised back in August when Eckert declared that the number nine was the best striker in the entire Championship.
Now, the German will feel smug about how assured he was in his star-man's breathtaking goalscoring prowess, as he's ahead of some of the world's best currently, when it comes to potent performances.
Larin has spoken of his hunger to grab even more goals, with the Canadian not ready to rest on his laurels one bit, as the South Coast side enter into some huge months in the Championship promotion race.
